Biography
Born in San Francisco in 1953, Crane resides in Little Rock, Arkansas. As an accomplished self-taught artist, he has a developed a unique ability enabling him to represent and portray images through a method he calls “controlled spontaneity.”
“My goal is to study my subject so intently that all nuances of character and nomenclature disappear and in their place radiate ultimate form. Art is a transforming experience. In art it is a deeper quality not portrayed which states what I feel.”
Crane has used his talents to benefit special organizations in Arkansas as a means of expressing his appreciation for his God-given talent. Some of those beneficiaries include the Arkansas Heart Association, Rain, Arkansas Arthritis Foundation, Splatters and Eggshibition.”
Crane has had many one man shows. His works are in collections throughout the southwest. Commissions are available. Crane’s work is available through Cantrell Gallery in Little Rock and The Horse of Course in Las Colinas, Texas and Edmond Oaklahoma. You may also order directly from the website.
